Atlanta

• There is some graffiti which I see very often. Every time I see this particular graffiti, I am puzzled. It reads "Free Bids". I wonder, who is Bids? How shall I do my part to Free him? Alternatively, where might I obtain my free bid? What shall I have bid upon? Are bids not always free? See, confusing.
• Simply by going straight where I usually turn, I have discovered a new running path. This path goes through Rottenwood Creek park.
• I am pretty sure that the name of this park doesn't mean "go ahead and dump all your trash here", although clearly many passers-by disagree.
• Also sighted: dead rat.
  

Atlanta dammit

Some college dudes menaced me! Dude barreled towards me and did a football-style fakeout move, whilst other dudes laughed. Here are some things I would like to say to dudes. DUDES:

• You will be slow like me in a few short years
• You are not even that fast (ba-zing!)
• Imagine if someone menaced your mother or sister in such a manner.
  
• It is always good to be nice. True story!

There! This never-to-be-read-by-anyone-but-me blog surely fixes things right up.

post-flood atlanta

• I was out of town during the flood 2 weeks ago
• But I heard that there were some....sewage....issues
• Specifically that there is a possibility that the...poo...can just "get on you" even if you do not get in the river or whatever
• Even now, 2 weeks later
  
• So all during my run I felt like...scared of the...molecules.
• They were touching me, I could feel them.

• Diego and the comb are still there, and i still did not pick them up
• My mom would have picked them up
• It has been raining, but i do not think "things i see while doing an exercise video" will be very interesting

• lots of people. y'all didn't run in the summer? that was probably a good call.

• An owl! Not fake. In a tree. It looked at me. RIGHT AT ME.
• A very lovely turtle. Black and yellow. Scared of me. LETS BE FRIENDS TURTLE.
• A couple of folks out for a walk in the jungle-y, muddy part of the trail. The lady was wearing high heels and struggling in the mud. What is the story there? They did not plan to hike? Aw, I'm sorry lady, I hope you come back and have fun with appropriate footwear

• a dude was scared of one of those snakes. says i, "don't worry! they don't bite!" says he, "ok, i'm trusting you"
• the rest of the run, i worry what if the snake bit the dude!

• many bunches of unidentifiable animal fur....i bet it originated from a fancy dog, from the looks of it
• one of my favorite trails, closed, completely covered in logs so it was REALLY closed...guess i haven't run there in awhile

• dead frog, this is not too remarkable except that froggy was hollowed out. i think the takeaway from this sighting is that frog innards are delish, but the skin is not
